About Us

Incorporated in the State of Maryland in 1976 as the former Maizel Construction Inc., W&M Contracting, LLC is a general contractor with a long history of tenant improvements and historic building rehabilitation and restorations in the Greater Washington, DC area. Original founder, Marvin Maizel, retired from the business in 2012 after nearly 40 years of serving clients and getting the job done the right way the first time.

Marvin’s eldest son, Michael Maizel, ran the business with his dad for several decades and has now taken over the helm with his long-time business partner, Michael Watson. The two continue to keep the Maizel Construction name alive as the construction arm of the company, but have also decided to forge ahead with W & M Contracting. By working together, these two smart and successful general contractors look forward to continuing the legacy started more than four decades ago.

A True Sense of Community

Community is also very important to our team. We are proud members of the DCBIA and the AIA. Our company also routinely donates to various local charities and causes including Adopt a Road in Montgomery County and the Christmas in April charity.
